record in order to assist them to achieve optimal performance at the
International Triathlon Union World Championships and Continental Cup

The National Championships for 13-15, and 16-19yos
took place in Bellingham WA on August 7th 2005. Many athletes
from around the Rocky Mt. Region did very well. Athletes that place in the
top 3 were awarded for their respective places individually. Athletes
placing in the top 10 scored points for their teams. Our Region produced
the 3rd, and 7th place teams overall. Riptide
Triathletes (Arvada,Golden) finished 3rd, and Landsharks (CO
Springs) finished 7th. Great job to both teams!
Individually there were many great races, topped by a
3rd place finish from Katie Hack(Wheatridge CO) in the 13-15yo
female division. Other top 10 finishes came from:
13-15 females:
Katie Hack(Wheatridge) 3rd
Bryn Morales(Golden) 5th
Ryan Russ(Golden) 6th
Kelsey Brown(CO Springs) 9th
16-19 females:
Danielle Kehoe(Arvada) 8th
One of the best things our Region
has to look forward to is that almost every athlete participating has at
least 1 year left in their age group. Perhaps the most disappointing thing
about our Region is that all of our athletes were from Colorado. If you
are an athlete or know an athlete from New Mexico, Utah, or the El Paso TX
area, that are between the ages of 13-19 and would be interested in
knowing more about how to participate at the National level please have
them contact the RADC Sean Wendt. Riptideswim@mywdo.com
