Saturn at Monument July 8 - the national office hasn't gotten all of the required paperwork, Penny says it has been sent in
3. Treasurer report by Larry Seidman from Rob
We have $3,547.42 after the 1st quarter rebate
4. Motion passed to pay up to $250.00 towards transportation costs of a certain official to attend the national championship in Idaho. We have some money to reimburse board members at $0.28 per mile to travel to regional championship for representing USAT and the regional board. We could put a cap of $300.00. Jose was thinking of getting reimbursed for representing USAT and the regional board and helping with the club championship in NM but decided not to go for various reasons.
5. Rankings update by Larry Seidman
The 2000 national rankings will be recalculated and rolled out with the upcoming redesign of the USAT web site. We will recalculate the 2000 regional rankings after that or use the rankings that were calculated in February if the redesign doesn't allow. Jim will still work on the awards. For 2001 there could be issues in determining the race weight factor because regional championships get a race weight factor of at least 90%.
6. Club scoring
Jose wasn't present so Larry Seidman said that things are going well with the regional club championship and that Larry Marshall the race director has adopted most of the proposal from Jose. Jose is in contact with Larry Marshall.
7. Newsletter - No update since neither Chris nor Bettina were present. Jim Flint is willing to help
8. Infrastructure positions - People want more details on the job descriptions before accepting any positions
9. Race directors conference - We could combine a board meeting in late September or October with a race director's conference to put together the 2002 calendar, decide on 2002 regional championships, and vote on the next board of directors.
Next Meeting: Saturday August 11th, Day before Boulder Peak in Boulder at 3:00pm Homewood Suites
